Bridgewater, New Jersey
January 23, 2008
On Wednesday January 23, 2008, Virco released the latest update to the virco®TYPE-HIV-1 report, version 4.2.01. When laboratories update to this new version, they can begin to deliver reports to their clients which provide resistance information for INTELENCE™(etravirine). The virco®TYPE-HIV-1 report is the first resistance report to have a resistance call for INTELENCE™ and list the relevant mutations. Some of the new features of the new report are:
- Updated Clinical Cut-Off (CCO) values for all drugs listed on the report. These are based on a significant increase in the size of Virco’s Clinical Outcomes Database
- Resistance information for INTELENCE™ (etravirine) with Clinical Cut-Offs
- An improved method for calculating Fold Change values in the presence of viral mixtures
- New mutations listings on page 1 and 2 of the report
- Updated viral clading algorithm
